UKIAH SENIOR CENTER

A Location for Seniors to Connect and Engage

Ukiah is a small rural community 50 miles south of Pendleton, OR with less than 200 people. The new senior center was identified as a growing need in the community and a strategic planning effort by the City. Pinnacle’s staff designed the project to serve 60 seniors drawing users from Ukiah and the surrounding region. The building is situated on land adjacent to the Ukiah School and takes advantage of views of the Blue Mountains. A large multipurpose room designed for flexibility is used for dining, computer literacy and arts and crafts classes, and a performance area. An easily accessible kitchen allows meals to be provided to seniors weekly.

The overall layout allows for future expansion of the facility to the south or east adjacent to the multipurpose room. An outdoor covered patio and seating area provide a comfortable space for Ukiah seniors to connect and engage.

This is a historical Pinnacle project completed in 2004.
