Creating a Safe Place

Heart of Grant County represents The Oregon Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence in Grant County. They are creating a safe place for victims of domestic and sexual violence to find support. Pinnacle prepared an initial design to secure CDBG funding. The preliminary plan includes office space, conference room, breakroom, multiple storage areas, and living space (two private bedrooms and an open kitchen/living room).

Privacy and security for the visitors was a key design driver. The office space is securely separate from the living space. The living space is purposefully situated to be guarded from public view. The building is warm and welcoming — a place to begin the healing process.
