LIBERTY LODGE PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING
Redmond Supports Disabled Residents with New Housing Option
A new permanent supportive housing development developed by Housing Impact, LLC (a partnership between Housing Works and NeighborImpact) focuses on intellectually/developmentally disabled (I/DD) residents with incomes no higher than 50% of the area median. The Lodge will provide affordable housing for this special needs population to live independently with minimal to moderate outside support. Multiple studies show supportive housing (combining housing with onsite services) resolves homelessness and increases housing stability improving health and lowering public costs.
The building located among multi-family and single-family homes in a well-established neighborhood is within walking distance to a variety of services and amenities. The Lodge includes a community room with a full kitchen, bathroom, and coin-operated laundry. An outside covered patio provides additional resident gathering space. The 601 SF homes are comfortable and functional with durable and easy to maintain materials while providing a calm environment for the residents to make a home. The color palette includes natural tones and is reflective of the Central Oregon landscape. The Redmond Association for Successful Community Living, Inc. (RASCL) delivers a whole spectrum of resident services in the community.
