COMMUNITY HALL RENOVATION AND EXPANSION
Preserving History and Modernizing
Dayville is a small Eastern Oregon town rooted in history. The original Hall was built by “shareholders” of the community in 1920. Over the years, it’s hosted weddings, community meetings, graduations, and various other events. Today it’s referred to as the heart of the community.
The City came to Pinnacle more than 20 years ago to evaluate renovating the community hall. We conducted an architectural assessment and provided recommendations to improve the building. With the City’s limited resources, the project was financially unable to move forward. Over the years, we’ve continued to stay connected and help evaluate alterations as their community changed and grew. In 2018, Pinnacle re-engaged and helped the City secure a Community Development Block Grant. Today we’re moving the design forward with interior and exterior upgrades and an addition to include a new commercial kitchen. The design will preserve the historical aspects of the Hall and provide modern amenities for the community.
