CENTRAL OREGON COMMUNITY COLLEGE, JUNGERS CULINARY CENTER
A Culinary Masterpiece for Learning
Along with an appreciation for the northwest outdoors, Bend residents and visitors cherish fine dining experiences – so much so that COCC built a premier institute to train the next generation of culinary artists. Like Bend’s outdoor recreational offerings, The Jungers Culinary Center attracts students from all over the west coast who seek the best in culinary instruction.
Pinnacle teamed up with Yost Grube Hall Architecture to design the new 15,000 square foot education facility. The beautiful new building integrates well with the surrounding structures of the college. It brings together the latest kitchen classroom technology, multiple state-of-the-art cooking labs, a comprehensive culinary library, a demonstration theater, and a 60-seat restaurant that is open to the public.
The Jungers Culinary Center strives to replicate an authentic dining experience for visitors by training aspiring chefs, prep cooks, and food service personnel in every aspect of culinary education. A comprehensive array of instruction, complete with indoor and outdoor dining amenities, offers local diners a first-hand taste of emerging culinary creations, quite possibly from the region’s next best chefs.
