Bridges on Broadway

A place for new beginnings in the southern Willamette Valley

Bridges on Broadway is a Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) project in Eugene, Oregon, designed to provide stability, safety, and dignity for individuals experiencing chronic homelessness. Funded through Oregon’s Project Turnkey, which dedicated $65 million to convert motels and hotels into non-congregate shelters, this initiative transforms the former Red Lion Hotel into a 57-unit apartment community.

The site previously served as emergency housing for families displaced by the 2020 Holiday Farm Fire. Now, it’s evolving into a long-term solution operated by Homes for Good Housing Agency, offering residents access to housing and supportive services in a thoughtfully designed environment.

Pinnacle led the design with a trauma-informed approach, placing comfort and connection at the heart of the project. The reimagined space features a welcoming entrance, gathering areas, and dedicated rooms for service providers. Each floor includes a unique pop of color to support wayfinding and create a vibrant, uplifting atmosphere. These design elements work together to foster a sense of belonging and community.

Bridges on Broadway is more than a renovation—it’s a reimagining of what housing can be. Through creative problem-solving, inclusive decision-making, and a commitment to serving vulnerable populations, the project offers a fresh start for residents.
