Helping Provide a Fresh Start
Barbara’s Place is a six-unit apartment community designed to provide supportive housing for persons with disabilities including mental illness. It employs a Housing PLUS (Permanent Living Utilizing Services) model which moves homeless individuals into safe housing and provides them with comprehensive social services to help end homelessness. The design is compact with each 1-bedroom unit sized at 700 SF. It is the first multifamily building certified to the Earth Advantage Gold Standard in the region providing financial incentives to the owner and a healthy living environment to the residents.
